Today in Habs History: October 2nd Edition

 

1934: The Montreal Canadiens trade Johnny Gagnon to the Boston Bruins for Joe Lamb.

 

1954: Jean Beliveau appeared in his second NHL All Star Game and picked up an assist as the All Stars tied the Detroit Red Wings 2-2, at the Olympia in Detroit.

1970: Robin Burns is traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins for cash.

 

1989: Randy Exelby is traded to the Edmonton Oilers for cash.
