Today in Habs History: May 20th Edition

 

 

1983: The Canadiens name Jacques Laperriere and Jacques Lemaire become assistant coaches, Jacques Plante is named as goaltending coach.

 

 

1986: The Montreal Canadiens and the Calgary Flames combined for four goals in 1:34 in the first period of Game 3 of the Finals, the fastest four goals by two NHL teams in a Finals' game. Montreal beat Calgary 5-3

 

1993: The Canadiens set an NHL record with their seventh straight overtime victory in the playoffs when Guy Carbonneau scored at 12:34 of overtime to lead the Canadiens to a 2-1 win over the Islanders, in Game 3 of the Wales Conference Finals.

 

 

2010: P.K. Subban, Dominic Moore and Tom Pyatt each score two points in the Montreal’s 5-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers, in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Finals.
