Today in Habs History: February 3rd Edition


1951: Maurice Richard scores his 17th career hat trick and adds an assist to lead the Canadiens past the Boston Bruins 4-1.

1968: Jean Beliveau scores a goal and adds two assists in the Canadiens 5-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings. The win set a a club record with their 12th straight victory.

1973: Rookie defenseman Larry Robinson scores his first NHL goal in the Canadiens 7-1 win over the Kings.

1979: Steve Shutt scores his 7th career hat trick and Larry Robinson adds two goals and an assist in Montreal’s 6-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

1990: Patrick Roy records his 11th career shutout as the Habs defeat the Buffalo Sabres 1-0.
