Today in Habs History: February 21st Edition

1921: Howie Morenz’s four-point night (2G, 2A) leads the Canadiens to a 6-4 win over the New York Americans

1928: George Hainsworth picks up his 23rd career shutout in a 0-0 tie with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

1959: Jacques Plante records his second consecutive shutout, as the Canadiens defeat the Boston Bruins 6-0. Dickie Moore scored a goal and added four assists to lead the Habs scoring.

1987: Bobby Smith scores a hat trick (the last of his career) to give him 250 career NHL goals. Smith also picked up an assist, despite the Canadiens losing 6-5 to the New York Islanders.
