1921: Newsy Lalonde’s five goals leads Montreal past the Hamilton Tigers by a 10-5 decision.
1952: Rookie Dickie Moore scores his firs career hat trick to lead Montreal to a 5-1 win over the New York Rangers
1961: Boom Boom Geoffrion records five points (2G, 3A), and Don Marshall scores his first career hat trick in the Habs’ 9-1 win over the Boston Bruins.
1964: Jean Beliveau scores his 12th career hat trick and adds an assist in the Canadiens’ 5-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings.
1980: Larry Robinson has four assists Montreal’s 8-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, extending the team’s home unbeaten strak to 33 games (30-0-3).
1987: Mats Naslund scored twice, adding two assists, and Guy Carbonneau scores his 100th career NHL goal in a 7-3 win over the Boston Bruins. Larry Robinson had four assists in the game.
2008: Carey Price makes 34 saves for his first career NHL shutout, 1-0 over the Philadelphia Flyers.
2009: The Canadiens trade their 2nd round pick (Jeremy Morin) in 2009, and a 3rd round pick (Julian Melchiori) in 2010 to the Atlanta Thrashers for Mathieu Schneider (pictured) and a 3rd round pick (Joonas Nattinen) in 2009
